Reporters' families overjoyed by N. Korea pardons

<div id="subtitle">Families of US journalists express joy over pardons issued in N. Korea</div><div><p>The families of journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee say they are overjoyed the North Korean government has pardoned the two women and is sending them home.</p><p>The families issued a statement Tuesday thanking former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore for their roles in winning the release of Lee and Ling.</p><p>The two American reporters were on an assignment for Current TV, which is backed by Gore, when they were arrested along the Chinese-North Korean border in March. Clinton met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il Tuesday on a mission to secure their freedom.</p><p>The families say they "are counting the seconds" until they can hug Ling and Lee.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=56145926&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
